The Concierge service
When someone dies there's a funeral to arrange — and then everything around it: the registrar, the banks, the pensions, the probate, your own affairs. Concierge brings all of it together. We connect you to a trusted local funeral director for the funeral itself, and co-ordinate everything else alongside them. One co-ordinator. One number. One file.
You stay in the driving seat. We give you a clear plan and pull together what you need.
First call free. Pay only after we've confirmed what you want.
You have a named co-ordinator. We source and brief every supplier on your behalf — you approve at each step.

We run the funeral on your behalf. Co-ordinator on call evenings and weekends, attending the funeral itself.

Funeral · Full intensity, plus the entire administrative cascade in the months after. Death registration through to the last bank account closed. Probate is the only thing not included — it's a separate add-on below.
For families where probate is needed, Executor Concierge supports you through the grant of probate, estate administration, asset realisation, and final distribution. SRA-regulated solicitors from our network handle the legal work; we co-ordinate the process and keep you informed throughout. Layers on top of any tier above, or stands alone if probate is the only thing you need.
Talk to us about Executor ConciergeHere's exactly what each tier does. No vague promises — we list every action.
No portal logins. No long forms. One co-ordinator, one phone call, one running case file.
Either through the walk-through with your plan in front of you, or directly. No payment until your co-ordinator has spoken to you.
Your co-ordinator phones — name, direct number, mobile. They've already read your file. You don't repeat yourself.
Funeral director called. Faith liaison made. Registration booked. Notifications drafted. We update you, you don't chase.
A short message every Monday — what we did, what's next, anything we need from you. Always optional, never urgent.
That's for you to decide — and you decide after your free first call, not before. We work directly with vetted funeral directors, solicitors, and other providers across the UK; we know what reasonable pricing looks like in your area and we'll tell you when something isn't. We also help surviving spouses identify support they may be entitled to, like Bereavement Support Payment, which many families don't realise applies to them.
Your first call is free. If after that call you don't think Concierge is worth it, you walk away with no charge.
AfterLife operates as a marketplace and concierge co-ordination service. We are not a funeral director, solicitor, or financial adviser ourselves — but the providers we work with are. Probate work is delivered by SRA-regulated solicitors. Will and LPA work is solicitor-reviewed where required. Funeral plan administration follows FCA rules and Funeral Planning Authority standards. Funeral directors in our network are members of NAFD or SAIF and comply with the CMA Order. Concierge co-ordinates with these regulated professionals on your behalf for each part of your journey.

You can stop at any point. We hand back the file, we tell you exactly what's been done and what's outstanding, and we refund the unused portion of your fee on a pro-rata basis. We don't lock anyone into anything.
Yes — and the speed required for each. We have funeral directors, mosques, synagogues, gurdwaras, and crematoria with family-witness chambers in our network across every UK metro. The walk-through asks faith first because almost everything else flows from it — collection timing, body care, ceremony, who needs to be involved. A Muslim family in Birmingham at 6pm gets very different first steps from a Catholic family in Surrey on a weekday morning.
No. A funeral director handles the body, the ceremony, and the immediate weeks. Concierge handles all of that plus the financial cascade (banks, pensions, insurance), the property, the legal work, the surviving spouse's own affairs, and stays with the family through probate and beyond. The funeral director is the first and most important professional we connect a family to — you don't choose AfterLife instead of a funeral director, you reach the right one through us, and we co-ordinate everything around them.
That's fine. We work alongside whoever you've chosen. Concierge picks up everything that isn't already in motion — registration, notifications, property, financial, probate. Nothing wasted, no awkward handover. Many of our cases come in this way: family hires an undertaker, then realises there's another 60 things to do beyond the funeral itself.
The walk-through gives you a personalised plan and shows you exactly which suppliers we'd choose for each step. It's free, takes about 5 minutes, and you can walk away with the plan and do everything yourself if you prefer.
Concierge is when you say "yes, you do all of that for me." Same plan — but we make every call, manage every supplier, file every form. You only hear from us with weekly summaries and any decisions only you can make.
We disclose every commercial relationship in writing before you sign. Some suppliers in our network pay an introducer fee or listing fee to be on the AfterLife marketplace; others don't — and we never let that drive recommendations. We tell you what you'll pay before you commit, and our reputation depends on you getting good value.
For full transparency: any commercial arrangement we have with a specific provider is disclosed on that provider's listing page on the marketplace.
It's the easiest way to see what your plan would actually look like — named local suppliers, faith-aware, costed honestly. Then you decide whether to hand it over or do parts yourself. There's no pressure, no payment, no commitment.
