How does pricing scale by population?
A baseline price (set per tier and category) is calibrated to a 300,000-person catchment — roughly what a single 10-mile circle covers in a typical UK city.
Your monthly price is baseline × (your selected population ÷ 300,000) × regional multiplier.
London catchments are priced ×1.20, South-East commuter belt ×1.10, rural ×0.80, everywhere else ×1.00.
Can multiple suppliers in the same category subscribe to the same postcode district?
Yes — districts are non-exclusive. Two florists subscribing to CO5 will both appear in CO5 results. Families see all matching subscribed suppliers
and choose who to contact. Founding partners get top-of-list placement for 12 months as a thank-you for joining early.
What's the Tier 2 introduction guarantee?
Founding-50 partners on Tier 2 get a written guarantee: at least one qualified introduction in the first 90 days, or your retainer is refunded in full.
A "qualified introduction" means a family has confirmed they want to speak with you and given consent for us to share their details.
What counts as a Tier 3 "introduction"?
For FCA-regulated categories (life insurance, pension IFAs, equity release), an introducer fee is payable when a family becomes a paying client of yours
and the policy or plan is in force for at least 60 days (industry standard cooling-off plus indemnity period). For SRA-regulated contested probate solicitors,
the fee triggers when a retainer letter is signed.
Are Scotland, Northern Ireland and Crown Dependencies covered?
Not yet. The current dataset covers England and Wales (2,302 postcode districts, 59.6m people).
Scotland (AB, DD, EH, FK, G, HS, IV, KA, KW, KY, ML, PA, PH, ZE), Northern Ireland (BT) and Isle of Man / Channel Islands (IM, JE) are launching shortly.
Submit an application now and we'll prioritise your area when those districts go live.
Will my listing show alongside national chains like Co-op or Dignity?
National chains are visible to consumers as a fallback option but are visually de-emphasised below the paid local subscribers.
The marketplace is designed to promote independent local suppliers first.
How do I know the leads are real?
Every introduction comes from a family who has completed our walkthrough, confirmed their situation, and explicitly consented to being introduced to a supplier.
You receive their name, postcode, what they need, and a Concierge-curated context note. You can dispute any introduction within 48 hours if it's clearly not qualified
(wrong category, wrong area, family didn't actually request contact). Disputed introductions don't count toward your usage.
What happens if a supplier behaves badly?
We vet on entry and review on complaint. Two substantiated complaints from families, or any regulatory action against you, results in immediate suspension and review.
AfterLife reserves the right to terminate partnerships at our discretion. Refund of unused retainer is pro-rata.
